Tank water heaters

A conventional tank lasts roughly eight to twelve years here, and hard water shortens that. Not enough hot water, rusty water, popping and rumbling from the base, or damp around the bottom of the tank are all worth a call. Some of those are a $150 element or thermostat. Moisture at the base of the tank generally is not, and it is the one that ends with a flooded utility room.

Tankless — worth it for some homes, not all

Tankless heats water as it passes through, so you cannot run out, it uses up to 40 percent less energy than a traditional tank, and it takes up a fraction of the space. It costs more up front and the installation is more involved. It makes obvious sense for a large household or one that keeps running out; it makes less sense for a small, low-demand home. We will tell you which one you are.

Hard water is why yours failed early

Scale settles at the bottom of a tank and forms an insulating layer between the burner and the water, so the burner runs longer and hotter to do the same job. That is the rumbling sound, that is the efficiency loss, and that is why water heaters in this valley do not reach their rated lifespan. Flushing helps. A softener helps more.

Great customer service. Luke is the man! He took the time to talk with me on his birthday and then had my central air up and running the next day.

We had our old furnace making a loud noise, apparently the motor had gone bad so we ended up having iRepair install a new furnace and AC with a new system that is much more efficient.

Eusebio came out within a couple hours, found that we had a couple filters that needed replaced and our cool had frozen over.
